Organizational Overview

DST Pharmacy Solutions is redefining the value of pharmacy in healthcare through the integration of advanced analytics, clinical insights and transformative digital capabilities. Building on our legacy of strong technology and pharmacy benefit administration, our convergent value-based solutions can help deliver better clinical and financial outcomes and allow our clients to think more strategically about the challenges they face.

We use our proprietary software applications, supporting technology and enhanced clinical expertise to provide pharmacy health management solutions supporting commercial, Medicaid and Medicare Part D plans. Our services include Specialty Drug Management, Network Management, Formulary and Rebate Management, Drug Utilization Management, Drug Discount Card Programs, Patient Access Programs and Core Claims Administration.

Role Overview

The VP, Business Development reports to the President of DST Pharmacy Solutions and is accountable for Client Strategy & Development. They will lead a team of talented sales executives and strategic business consultants responsible for generating revenue through New Sales, Upsell / Strategy and Consultant Relations. As the business develops new product segments and revenue streams, the Vice President will assume responsibility for executing the new business.

Responsibilities

  • Create, adapt, and execute growth strategies to achieve key business objectives.

  • Translates organization vision and mission while instilling a sales driven culture.

  • Establish both short-term financial results and long-term revenue streams.

  • Experience forecasting for future growth and executing on the plan.

  • Solid understanding of financial reports and experience developing pricing strategies and sales campaigns with cross-functional partners to include cost of sales and product profitability.

  • Personally develop client relationships at the executive level and work closely with the sales team on account / prospect strategy – negotiate contracts, close sales.

  • Has overall control of planning, staffing, budgeting, managing expense priorities, and recommending and implementing changes to methods.

  • Leadership and development of staff to including establishing goals, incremental metrics and processes consistent with meeting / exceeding sales targets.

  • Proven ability to communicate well at all levels within organizations.

  • Ability to build relationships and work closely with management team in a complex organization.

  • Identify issues and formulate a strategy on solutions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field and minimum of 12 years work-related experience.

  • Master’s degree and minimum of 10 years work-related experience.

  • Healthcare industry experience highly preferred.

  • Excellent organizational, presentation and communication skills.

  • Proven track record of strong revenue generation.
