Job Description:

Role Overview

The External Sales Executive is an integral part of the ALPS Sales Team. He/she will be responsible for direct sales of ALPS solutions into a list of Investment Management firms in the under $50 bln AUM segment. In addition, he/she will support the National Sales Director and other Sales Team members across both the ALPS organization and broadly across the entire SS&C Sales Organization. Utilizing your strong organizational, relationship and communication skills, you will work to ensure that ALPS’ solutions align with the needs of the prospective clients for purposes of building long lasting business partnerships.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of ALPS’ suite of solutions

  • Identify, nurture and manage sales opportunities for new firms within your territory/account assignments

  • Participate and support road shows, conferences, networking events and meetings with broader ALPS’ team

  • Coordinate and support all aspects of the sales process

  • Prepare internal and client facing materials for and participate in meetings

  • Coordinate and review questionnaires, RFPs and RFIs, provide feedback and input based on understanding of the firm’s products, as well as the client’s needs

  • Strive to meet and exceed the needs of the client

  • Create a Strategic Sales Methodology/Process for new relationships and opportunities

  • Manage leads, accounts and opportunities in Sales Reporting system

  • Create ‘Deal Sheet’ document

  • Create Pricing Analysis

  • Create Proposal

  • Coordinate Prospect Visits (agendas, attendees, etc)

  • Prepare PowerPoint Presentations

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Marketing or related field

  • 7-10 years of related financial services experience

  • 35%+ travel

  • Advanced MS Office skills

  • Sales reporting experience preferred

  • Knowledge of various investment products and processing requirements including mutual funds, collective investment trusts, closed end funds, ETFs, etc

  • Effective written, listening, and verbal communication skills

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
