Job Description:Purpose of the Role
The Business Development Manager will be based out of our Sydney office and will be responsible for executing on sales strategies and managing sales campaigns for products/solutions within Australia, to build a strong qualified pipeline of net new opportunities and convert them into profitable business relationships.
New Business Sales
Working from a target prospect list, establish professional and deep relationships with key personnel
Understand the competitive landscape and customer needs, to effectively position SS&C
Ability to constantly focus on solid pipeline development through a combination of targeted email campaigns, calls and market sector knowledge/intelligence
Create and maintain a sales pipeline to hit and surpass goals consistently
Engage with prospects to position SS&C through strategic value-based selling, business case definition, ROI analysis, references and analyst data
Ability to hit the ground running - prospecting, identifying and developing multiple use cases, and developing strong relationships with C-level executives
Work with and develop new, partners and build an eco system of new sales streams
You are driven, self-disciplined, and comfortable working autonomously. You are also thick-skinned, possess a sales hunter mindset, and have experience selling complex SaaS or BPO solutions to large Enterprises and winning new business from Senior Directors (CEOs, CTOs, CPOs, CFOs).
Suitable candidates will possess;
Strong enterprise sales experience positioning complex technology and services solutions – Finance, Registry, Workflow or BPO, highly regarded. Superannuation experience preferred
Proven sales capability – overachieving sales targets; building new territories; ideally have worked previously for a Finance/Wealth/Superannuation technology player
Strong sales methodology – trained in Miller Heiman, Challenger, SPIN highly regarded
We are looking for someone who loves to build pipeline and has a solid new business sales focus, understanding correct sales cadence and knows what it takes to turn target prospects, into leads, into opportunities and then into new customers.
We are looking for enthusiasm over ego, intelligence over academia and someone who likes to have fun and be part of a growing team.
5+ Years Enterprise New Business Sales experience
Sold into large fortune 1000 companies
Demonstrated ability to win new logos
Has met/exceeded own direct sales goals
Deal sizes have been large mid-market 100k+ or enterprise, 1m+
Demonstrated methodology to prospect and build pipeline on their own
Upswing of career, sustained growth
The ability and desire to work in a fast-paced challenging environment
Self-starter mentality with exceptional interpersonal and critical thinking skills
An insatiable desire to meet and exceed measurable performance goals.
