Organizational Overview

DST’s Event Center assists clients with experienced support for critical and time-sensitive events, such as regulatory communications, distributions, and class action settlements.With nearly 25 years of financial services event experience, DST professionals can handle both the planning and execution of these projects, allowing our customers to focus on their clients and growing their business. Our Event Center represents an unwavering commitment to the financial services industry, taking on specific projects and allowing our customers to return to what is most important to them: business as usual. We have successfully managed complex events in the following areas: retirement, brokerage, insurance, mutual funds, and corporate actions.

Role Overview

As a Business Development Executive, you will be responsible for generating sales from organizations having requirements for the DST Event Center solution—both from current and new clients. The Event Center Sales Executive will be responsible for executing on sales strategies and managing sales campaigns for Event Center projects & solutions within assigned accounts/territory, from beginning to end with the appropriate partnership within DST and the product/services owners. The role can be based anywhere, preference to the Greater Boston Area or Quincy. Business travel required.


  • Sell products, solutions and services with new or existing clients across Asset Managers, Brokerage, Banks and Retirement clients within the financial industry.Create sales opportunities, pipeline and closures within client base/territory and facilitate cross-selling opportunities for existing clients.

  • Solicit and maintain network of prospects.

  • Understand the client needs, strategies and goals of the Event Center Solution in order to recommend and sell appropriate product or professional service solutions to meet client needs.Create account plans to manage sales goals and achieve targets.

  • Be effective in cold calling and networking activities to generate leads and overall interest in our Event Center service.

  • Negotiate and close deals that meet client expectations and DST’s ability to deliver.

  • This role works and collaborates with a variety of leaders and resources throughout DST Product, Service Delivery, Relationship Executive and Marketing teams.


  • Bachelor’s degree and 5-7 years of experience, or Master’s degree and 3 years of work-related experience in selling solutions to the Operating, Technology, Financial functions within Financial Services firmsMust be self-motivated to deliver results.

  • Experience in B2B selling in the financial industry with specific experience selling SaaS/BPO solutions.

  • Knowledge of fintech solutions, compliance, business workflow processes, transfer agency, retirement, record keeping and insurance products a plus.

  • Strong detail/project management skills in executing complex sales campaigns

  • Strong communication (written and verbal), relationship, selling and collaboration skills.

  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales goals.
