Job Description:

Role Overview:

The Associate Financial Operations Analyst will play a key role within the NSCC team. In this role, you will work closely within Client Services and across the organization to ensure all Managed Process core functions are handled accurately and within standard. A primary focus is to provide dedicated support for our mutual fund clients and intermediaries in the processing of all Managed Process core functions including, but not limited to, UFID updates, UFILE updates, Refresher updates, TSO updates, Remedy, and DTCC paperwork.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Advanced knowledge and understanding of NSCC products and workflows, including but not limited to Fund/SERV, Networking, COMMSERV, Mutual Fund Profile Services and trade reject resolution processing.

  • Support mutual fund clients and intermediaries in the set-up of NSCC services at the DTCC and DST system level. May involve testing and support of NSCC projects.

  • Support mutual fund clients and intermediaries in processing all Manage Process core functions including, but not limited to, UFID updates, UFILE updates, Refresher updates, TSO updates, Remedy, and report review and resolution.

  • Respond within required timelines to internal and external client inquiries regarding NSCC services and provide direction on resolution of issues reported.

  • Assist with identifying staff training needs and participate in and lead peer assisted learning opportunities, such as roundtables, with operations staff.

  • Perform complex research and submits DST tickets as necessary.

  • Participates in cross-site business contingency planning and related activities.

  • Interface with various levels of management, both internally and externally.

  • Meet all department quality standards.

  • Maintain skills to support NSCC Operations processing, such as trade rejects and phone calls as business needs require.

  • Perform Data Security and/or Disaster Recovery coordination steps

  • Able to support NSCC Operations functions, such as reject processing, as needed.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Successful candidates should have strong technical, analytical and solid problem solving skills in a multi-facet environment. Solid communication skills, both verbal and written are essential. Knowledge of transaction processing and ability to handle multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and keep time sensitive commitments are critical. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel is required. Ability to interface with various levels of management, both internally and externally are necessary. Prior working experience in Transfer Agent Operations and Customer Service are important along with global understanding of the financial markets and industry networks. Prior NSCC experience is desired.
