In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining executive client relationships in a number of large and key enterprise customers of SS&C and coordinate internally across our enterprise in order to present how SS&C views the current relationship and the journey we will take to grow the relationship. Strategic Global Relationship Executives work extensively with C-suite and executive-level contacts creating a high degree of client trust resulting from expertise and experience in similar sales/relationship focused roles. The candidate will demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of the business, financials, products/services, the market and the needs of assigned clients. Most importantly, the ideal candidate will have a desire to innovate, collaborate and invent with customers and colleagues in the construct of a strategic relationship. This role can be based in any location.
Establish strategic account plans and objectives focused on new revenue growth, existing revenue retention and client satisfaction to ensure long-term growth for top clients.
Deliver on annual customer satisfaction, revenue retention and sales growth goals.
Be a trusted advisor to C-suite, executive leaders and key stakeholders throughout the clients’ organizations by creating deep relationships and provide consultative recommendations and best practices to achieve both the clients’ and SS&C’s objectives.
Manage communication between clients and internal teams.
Negotiate client contracts.
Establish and manage internal budgets and external budgets with clients.
Work closely with sales, product management and technology across the enterprise to determine the best solutions for clients through existing and future products and services.
Coordinate efforts to ensure a seamless experience and closely monitor the overall client relationship across internal business units and serve as the senior escalation point for client issues.
Collaborate with internal teams across the organization to meet and exceed client expectations.
Monitor and analyze market data and trends to identify opportunities and develop strategic direction from market information.
Understand, gather and share key customer data sets, including but not limited to: organizational structure and hierarchy; competitive footprint; strategic initiatives
Participate in development of corporate initiatives (e.g. product development, marketing).
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience
10+ years in sales or relationship management and providing business solutions to mid to large sized organizations
Proven ability to work with and influence senior level leaders internally and externally
Proven ability to navigate complex, matrixed organizations
Experience with development of strategic account plans
Experience with contract negotiations
Achievement of revenue objectives
Strong leadership, collaboration and influence skills to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders
Strong relationship building and consultative skills to influence senior level leaders and key stakeholders
Ability to perform in a fast paced environment
Ability to manage multiple priorities and changing requirements
Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills including ability to listen and communicate with a wide variety of audiences
Self-motivated and self-directed
Travel as needed
