An exciting career opportunity exists for a well-rounded Unified Communications Engineer with solid technical and analytical skills. This position will be held by an individual with a solid understanding of the Cisco Unified Communications stack. As the UCC Engineer you will be maintaining, configuring, and sustaining the Cisco VoIP environment including: implementation, and maintenance of UC environment. The selected candidate will partner with lead and Sr level UC engineers and provide hands on expertise for the deployment of a new global Cisco UC environment.
Partner with Lead and Sr UC engineers on the deployment of a new Cisco UC environment.
Assist with the deployment efforts and transformation from an Avaya Voice environment to Cisco Unified Communications.
Provides support and coordination required during the planning, design, engineering and servicing of unified communication systems.
Participates in the formulation of short and long-range telecommunications plans.
Responsible for Tier II troubleshooting and direct communication with end users on escalated issues.
Can perform VDN, Vectoring routing changes in a contact center environment (UCCX/E)
Performs software maintenance and upgrades affecting UC Systems.
Participates in the development of procedures; assists with larger projects as needed and has a proven ability to lead and take ownership of small to mid-size projects.
Monitor and work within a team environment to resolve system alarms and error reports.
Assist in developing and refreshing process documentation supporting the unified communications knowledge base.
Availability to work on a rotating on call basis, shared throughout the team.
Needs to possess an ability to “think outside the box” and have a strong willingness to learn new technologies.
Technical Degree and/or College equivalent with 4 years of work-related experience, or 5 years equivalent work-related experience.
Working knowledge of SIP Protocol and SBC configuration and support.
Working knowledge of Cisco CUCM, Oracle SBC’s, Cisco Webex Teams, Jabber Softphone Client, Cisco UCCE.
Proven hands on deployment experience of a full Cisco UC product stack for a global corporation.
Experience with Avaya Core Telephony Products: Aura Communications Manager 6.3; Esna Unified Messaging, OneX Communicator, OneX agent a plus.
Experience with configuration, support of Avaya Aura Contact Center Enterprise Elite applications and solutions in a plus.
Experience with Avaya Vector programming utilizing VDN/Vectoring attributes for call routing a plus.
Experience with the NICE Engage call recording environment a plus.
Candidates with CCNA Collaboration certification a plus.
