Organizational Overview

While working at DST Financial Services, you will help our clients discover opportunities in the complexities associated with mounting inflows of data, rapid technological advancements, shifting regulatory change, rising security risks and increasing demands from their customers. Your job is to help our clients discover opportunity through technology, strategic advisory and business improvement solutions. You will work with some of the world’s leading Alternative Asset Managers, Asset Management Service Companies, Banking Companies, Broker-Dealers, Distribution Companies, Insurance Companies and Retirement Companies. Role Overview

We are seeking a full-time Sr. Experience Designer to work in the Digital Solutions group.

Sr. Experience Designers are responsible for creating customer experience design solutions for software products and/or services that align user needs with business goals. They demonstrate a strong understanding of interaction design principles, standards, and concepts to contribute fully in all aspects of research and synthesis, prototyping, validation, and support tasks. They know how to balance design solutions across business and user problems and know the advantages, disadvantages, and best application of methods and/or tools. Working with minimal management oversite, Sr. Experience Designers typically lead the design component in cross-functional teams for projects of varying complexity and size. They bring fresh perspectives to evolve existing solutions and create new products and services for the many actors in the digital FinTech industry.



  • 7+ years experience as a user experience designer, interaction designer, or similar role, participating in the complete product development lifecycle of several successfully launched web and/or software applications.

  • Experience working with IT developers/technology teams

  • Experience crafting and conducting client and stakeholder interviews (from subject matter experts to C-level executives) to determine business and client objectives and detailed requirements

  • Experience with UX research techniques to uncover user needs, goals, and motivations

  • Experience in design evangelism, including educating and promoting user-centered design thinking throughout the company and providing both detailed and strategic design recommendations with internal & external stakeholders based on business goals, user research, and user-centered design principles

  • Extensive experience in using UX design best practices to design solutions and a deep understanding of mobile-first and responsive design.


  • Financial Services or Healthcare (or similarly complex) industry experience

  • Design standards or systems



  • A degree in Interaction Design, User Experience Design, Service Design, Visual Design, HCI, or related fields

  • Ability to think both analytically and creatively to break down complex problems to generate creative solutions

  • A collaborative and continual-learning mindset

  • Deep understanding of UX researching & testing best practices including planning and conducting user research, user testing, rapid prototyping, heuristic analysis, usability and accessibility standards

  • Understanding of web technologies, patterns, & standards, particularly in mobile responsiveness & accessibility

  • Excellent visual, verbal, and written communication skills

  • Advanced ability to communicate complex information using design tools, including journey maps, storyboards, service blueprints, task flows, diagrams, wireframes & specs, and presentations

  • Fluency in design and prototyping software such as UXPin, Balsamiq, Adobe Creative Suite, or equivelant tools


  • Masters in Interaction Design, User Experience Design, Service Design, Visual Design, HCI, or related fields
