Role Overview

Provides customer service and operations support to broker/dealers, bank trust companies, third-party administrators, clients and other users of the National Securities Clearing Corporation (NSCC) services.

Provides information on NSCC services, procedures, and status of transactions. Responds to inbound phone call inquiries from back-offices. Resolves NSCC rejects and processes transactions on DST applications as applicable, researches general inquiries and performs quality control.

  • Works with back-offices and brokers via phone and email to resolve daily NSCC trade rejects. Handles more complex NSCC trade rejects including trades with fund and firm exceptions.

Provides operations oversight of certain functions to ensure timely completion of daily work.

  • Works on the most complex and/or sensitive inquiries, trade rejects, and/or research and reconciliation issues, system issues, and event coordination and resolution as assigned.

  • Following specific fund cutoff guidelines, enters trade estimates for trade rejects requiring price protection.

  • Reviews a variety of NSCC reports and makes appropriate updates to resolve issues, contacting back-offices and brokers as necessary.

  • Checks the work of others and makes recommendations for changes in procedures when necessary.

  • Maintains department procedures.

  • Conducts authorizations at the applicable level in accordance with procedures.

  • Provide quality feedback to NSCC associates.

  • Provides operations support and oversight on NSCC projects.

  • Provides training.
