As the Brokerage Operation Specialist, you will be part of a dedicated team that demonstrates solid knowledge of the customer's business processes, internal system/applications and various software tools. This position requires a customer service oriented individual with strong attention to detail and the drive to gain a deep understanding of the broker –dealer with an emphasis on their mutual fund business.
Responsible for dividend, pricing and 12b1 support.
Focus on risk avoidance in fast paced environment to ensure transaction posting is accurate and timely.
Works directly with broker/dealer clients, fund families and internal ancillary departments on a daily basis, determining appropriate action to resolve the discrepancies; this includes taking corrective action using research and decision-making skills.
Independent thinking is expected with more complex research situations, cost savings initiatives, best practice identification, etc.
Identifies efficiencies and value-added solutions that could impact multiple lines of business and departments; analyzes possibilities, capabilities, and constraints; and recommends alternative business solutions.
Provides daily and ad hoc customer support, develops documentation, and completes audits.
Accepts escalated issues and works on problems of a moderate scope; analyzes root cause, understands the impact and scope of the problem, and applies judgment within defined practices to determine the appropriate action.
Participates in the initiation, requirements, design, testing, fund setup/conversion, and post-implementation support phases of a project
