Role Overview

The primary function of the Brokerage Operations Specialist is to coordinate and execute mutual fund corporate action events. The associate is responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate execution of events from announcement through execution. This involves making critical decisions in a time constrained environment. The successful candidate will possess superior decision making, time management, and communication skills as well as a keen attention to detail.

Core Responsibilities

· Ensuring that mutual fund corporate action events are interpreted, announced, and executed.

· Understanding specific client requirements associated with corporate action events.

· Responding to inquiries regarding event status.

· Communicate directly with broker-dealers, mutual fund companies, financial intermediaries, and internal departments on a daily basis.

· Take corrective action to resolve discrepancies.

· Deliver reports accurately and in a timely fashion.

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s Degree required, focus in Finance, Economics, Accounting or Business Administration is preferred.

· Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Access required.

· Ability to create effective pivot tables is a plus.
