SS&C ALPS is a leading Registered Fund Services provider in the financial services industry. Founded in 1985, Denver-based SS&C ALPS, with offices in Boston, Dallas, Miami, New York, San Francisco, Seattle, and Toronto also delivers asset management and asset servicing solutions through ALPS Advisors, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of SS&C Technologies, Inc.
SS&C ALPS Valuations Team is a global SS&C utility that is responsible for valuation of quoted securities and price verification. The team supports accounting departments in Miami, Denver, and India, and handles pricing deliverables, challenges and inquiries. The candidate will be working within this team to ensure pricing process is carried out as per agreed hierarchy and service level agreement.
Perform daily, weekly and monthly pricing tasks for clients using SS&C’s proprietary valuation platform as well third-party valuation vendors such as Bloomberg, Reuters, IDC etc.
Carry out price verification checks such as day-on-day variance review, stale price review and price challenge justification.
Ensure all pricing tasks are executed in compliance with the Portfolio Valuation Policy and reviewed in accordance with SOC1 and internal controls.
Conduct Price Verification reviews to ensure valuation back provided for non-quoted securities meets pricing procedures.
Perform fair value pricing review to ensure correct price is reflected in the account system.
Conduct Price Materiality Analysis to ensure client/broker prices are within a reasonable tolerance when compared against independent vendor.
Compile monthly broker matrix by collecting and cleansing various broker quotes received directly or forwarded by the client.
Handle pricing inquiries and questions from internal team as well as client.
University degree in Finance / Economics or related discipline
High degree of analytical agility
First rate communication / presentation skills
Strong Excel Skill
Ability to work to tight deadlines as part of a team
High level of computer literacy and familiarity with standard financial products such as equities, options, futures, bonds, and asset backed.
Strong business acumen and the ability to build partnerships with operational associates
Ability to act independently
Experience with Bloomberg, Reuters and other data vendors will be a plus.
