Organizational Overview

Role Overview

Fund Reporting Supervisors have full knowledge of operational functions as it relates to semi-annual and annual financial statements, quarterly holdings reports and other required regulatory filings. They manage staff, establish work priorities, delegate projects/assignments, monitor progress, review outgoing reports, and make decisions regarding the management of staff according to established policies and management guidance.


  • Perform a detailed review of assigned shareholder reports (quarterly, semi-annual and annual) for various Funds, including related footnote disclosures to determine appropriate presentation and adherence to relevant SEC and GAAP requirements, to ensure published reports are free from material misstatements.

  • Perform a detailed review of SEC filings (e.g. Form N-1A, N-Q, N-SAR, 24F-2, N-MFP) for accuracy, completeness and consistency.

  • Set appropriate deadlines for reporting cycles, allocate the correct amounts of resources for each deadline and monitor deadlines to ensure they are being met by your team.

  • Act as a liaison with other departments including Creative Services, Fund Accounting, Tax, Fund Controllers and clients.

  • Assist Fund Controllers with client and audit comments, SEC comments, issue resolution, and any financial reporting matters as they arise.

  • Manage a team of staff to meet client deadlines while providing on the job coaching, mentoring and support.

  • Work with Management to promote a culture of innovation and quality within the department and help drive a high level of engagement.

  • Assist the Financial Reporting Manager with ad hoc problem resolution and follow-up.


  • Minimum - Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of work-related experience, or Master’s degree and 1 year of work-related experience, or 5 years equivalent work-related experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting preferred

  • 4+ years of experience in mutual fund accounting or administration, or equivalent experience preferred

  • 1+ years of supervisory experience, including experience with leading a team of professionals, staff development, coaching and performance assessment.

  • Thorough technical knowledge of the Investment Management industry, with a focus on Mutual Fund reporting and accounting requirements.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines, to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel)

  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
