ETF PRODUCT SPECIALIST – ENERGY INFRASTRUCTURE/MLPSALPS Portfolio Solutions Distributor – Location Flexible (Denver Headquarters)The ETF product specialist (energy infrastructure/MLPs) will be responsible for setting and driving the direction of growth for ALPS’ energy infrastructure and MLP product suite, developing and executing sales and marketing strategies, as well as determining and ensuring consistency in product positioning and messaging. An ideal candidate has a strong understanding of investment research and experience in ETF sales and/or product development. A successful candidate will be able to take broad direction and execute on specific strategic projects drawing on expertise and collaborating with firm resources.
RESPONSIBILITIESSales- Develop, execute, and track targeted sales strategies that will maximize market penetration for the energy infrastructure/MLP product suite through all distribution channels including broker-dealer (independents and wirehouses), RIA, and Institutional- Take ownership for fund sales targets; conduct regular reporting of performance metrics and communicate with marketing and sales to ensure alignment- Attend client meetings or participate in due diligence calls when appropriateResearch / Content Generation / Messaging- Serve as the lead subject matter expert on the energy infrastructure/MLP product suite for internal and external channels- Determine product positioning; educate, train, and ensure consistency of messaging across all external communication channels (sales, marketing, webpage)- Develop and oversee the production of relevant and timely product marketing content to ensure sales team is well supported in their effortsMarketing/PR Strategy - Develop, execute, and track marketing campaigns (e-mail, web, conference calls, special programming) to increase client loyalty and product awareness- Participate in industry conferences and communicate with media to increase industry knowledge and product awarenessProduct Development- Maintain relationship and serve as lead liaison with energy infrastructure/MLP index provider to ensure alignment on business strategies and performance metrics- Work closely with relevant internal departments to resolve product operation matters, when appropriate
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE• Required Education: Bachelor’s degree• Required Certifications: FINRA Series 7 & 63• Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation preferred• 7+ years ETF related experience, either in a product development, investment research or sales capacity; experience with energy infrastructure/MLP products a plus• Strong understanding of the ETF structure, market, and sales and distribution process• Self-motivated, driven and entrepreneurial professional• Ability to conceive, direct and execute strategic projects• Excellent communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
