Job Description:

DUTIES: ALPS Alternative Investment Services LLC is seeking a Sr Fund Accountant to analyze and review fund expense accruals, disbursements, financial statements, and valuation methodology to ensure reasonableness and accordance with fund governing documents and engage clients and auditors as necessary. Ensure accuracy and completeness of wire entry details. Review net asset value calculations subsequent to preparation by an authorized staff member. Manage client relationships and address complex accounting, special requests, and other fund related issues. Prepare and review financial statements and footnotes based on GAAP or other standards to ensure accuracy and completeness. Knowledgeable in the accounting and valuation for complex investments. Recognized within the organization as a functional expert with specialized depth and/or breadth of knowledge. Work independently, with guidance only in the most complex situations. Solve complex problems; Identify new solutions using a broad perspective and understanding. Lead large scale projects with substantial resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity. May lead a project team with influence over contribution of others. Translates functional vision into plans and guides their execution.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors or foreign equivalent degree in Finance or Accounting and 2 years of experience in the job offered or 2 years of experience using U.S. GAAP to perform accounting for equities, options, or fixed income securities.
