Organizational Overview

Role Overview

Senior IT Trainers have extensive customer involvement and high customer/management visibility. They are responsible for conducting product training to DST Health Solutions’ Customers as well as to internal DST Health Solutions’ employees. Audience may be senior leadership, developers, configuration analysts or end users.

Senior IT Trainers possess wide-ranging, in-depth knowledge of the company, training services, company products, as well as in-depth technical knowledge of those products. IT Trainers integrate themselves with product teams to stay continually abreast of product changes.

Senior IT Trainers are also responsible for seeking out and identifying additional revenue opportunities that result in additional training services, professional services, and/or additional product licenses. Senior IT Trainers collaborate with Account Executives and Strategic Operations Executives to understand the customer's business and business processes and are routinely integrated into the customer's training and/or implementation team.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as high-level training and business resource to customers.

  • Independently perform and/or lead customer training-related projects that may involve multiple divisions.

  • Provide hands-on product training to customers.

  • Provide hands-on product training to company employees – prioritized based on current company strategy and product focus.

  • Produce training schedules and classroom agenda.

  • Determine course content according to objectives.

  • Prepare training materials (presentations, worksheets, etc.).

  • Execute training sessions, webinar, workshops, etc. in groups or individually.

  • Arrange for and conduct on-site training when needed.

  • Observe and evaluate results of training programs.

  • Determine overall effectiveness of programs and manage/make improvements.

  • Independently perform all phases of the training/project life cycle.

  • May be accountable for multiple projects at any given time or may be delegated special work assignments.

  • Collaborate with internal resources to maintain knowledge of system changes and functionality.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of DST Health Solutions’ products including AMISYS, AMISYS Advance, PowerSTEPP, Exeter, Membership and Billing (MAB), Provider Pricing (PP), Product Designer (PD).

  • Ability to understand and interpret business requirements and needs and develop specific training curriculum or business solutions based on customer business needs.

  • Experience in designing technical course content.

  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to explain complex subjects in a clear and interesting way.

  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.

  • Strong customer focus.

  • High level of integrity, honesty, and judgement.

  • Ability to respect and ensure strict confidentiality of customer data.

  • Maintain a deep understanding of online development technologies and methodologies to interface with appropriate multimedia resources.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of work-related experience, or Master’s degree and 1 year of work-related experience, or 5 years equivalent work-related experience

  • 5+ years of training experience

  • Prior experience working with AMISYS and/or Exeter platform

  • Healthcare knowledge or background preferred
