Organizational Overview

Role Overview

Senior Business Systems Analysts are experienced in Applications Analysis and repeatedly demonstrate the ability to independently analyze and produce accurate and thorough project documentation and deliverables, including project benefits, feasibility, requirements, scope, risks, and justification. They demonstrate a solid understanding of products, business processes, and development life cycle. They mentor and are sought out by less experienced analysts for their product and application analysis knowledge. They typically are assigned complex projects and/or situations that have a high degree of customer exposure or company liability. They may work on multiple projects simultaneously. They may act in a team lead capacity for projects of small to medium scope. Team lead duties include project administration tasks such as tracking and/or assigning work to others, facilitating meetings, and producing and delivering project communications and reports. Additionally, they may be asked to estimate effort and/or resources required for specific project phases/tasks for which they are assigned to complete and/or lead.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to internal and external clients on the AMISYS / Exeter applications and related products

  • Perform in-depth research and creative problem analysis and execute advanced troubleshooting procedures to resolve complex issues

  • Identify and address issues; then recognize the customer-based impact and severity of issues, and reprioritize accordingly

  • Ability to communicate business and technical issues with business leaders and senior leadership at the clients

  • Liaison between the business and development, must be able to translate business to technical terms and vice versa to communicate the requirements and solutions

  • Attend meetings with clients as needed to support client issues

  • Support the Claims Organization with all operation support issues, including Claim Payable issues.

  • Monitor job processing to ensure that processes successfully completed

  • Create/maintain process documentation

  • Identify areas for process improvements such as enhancements, process changes, training opportunities

  • Support/facilitate testing for client changes and upgrades

  • Write SQL queries to aid in researching issue and SQL scripts for data corrections

  • Maintain Excel Spreadsheets, including formulas and macro’s to support the business reporting

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of work-related experience, or Master’s degree and 1 year of work-related experience, or 5 years equivalent work-related experience

  • Extensive SQL and Excel experience
