Role Overview

A Senior Client Relations Specialist provides business and technical subject matter expertise to support client’s optimal use of the application. Must demonstrate an in depth knowledge of quality measurement, population health monitoring and the HEDIS regulatory cycle. Knowledge of risk adjustment is preferred.

Additionally, this role provides daily client support, tracks and monitors issues, provides trend analysis for the client and internal support. The Senior Client Relations Specialist manages conversions and leads product implementations for new and existing clients. The Senior Client Relations Specialist team is the lead for projects, including assigning work to the project team and other functional areas and performing other project administration tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clients with daily support and assistance

  • Support and lead calls for multiple clients

  • Work on assignments of moderate to complex scope and resolve a wide range of issues

  • Interact with multiple functional areas and lead and/or coordinate projects among those areas on behalf of clients and/or Client Services

  • Identifying client needs, develop client solutions, track and monitor issues, analyze customer data, provide analysis, provide reports, and recommend implementing process and procedure improvements

  • Monitor Performance Guarantees and escalate any non-compliance issues

  • Identify, analyze, and document business requirements for large scope and more complex projects

  • Provide day to day support during HEDIS regulatory cycle while proactively monitoring timeline, scope and tasks.

  • Review disposition of data received and provide feedback on impact of missing or incomplete data.

  • Monitor quality rate comparisons to prior and benchmarks; provider consultative information on root cause of differences

  • Provide training on optimal use of application to meet clients business needs

Qualifications

Minimal:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of work-related experience, or Master’s degree and 1 year of work-related experience, or 5 years equivalent work-related experience

  • Understanding of claim and financial reports

Preferred:

  • 2 to 5 years experience managing customer relationships in healthcare

  • 2 to 5 years experience in either benefit plan design analysis, setup or quality role

  • 2 to 5 years experience managing or coordinating NCQA HEDIS project

  • Demonstrated experience supporting clients through a HEDIS project lifecycle

  • Demonstrated experience for supporting Population Health Analytics

  • Detail oriented

  • Demonstrated experience within the healthcare sector

  • In depth knowledge of healthcare claims

  • Proficient in use of Excel
