Job Description:Overall Job Descriptions

  • Participates in the initiation, requirements, design, testing, and conversion/implementation phases of a project to develop, modify, or implement effective information systems solutions.

  • Conducts comprehensive client interviews to research, analyze, and produce accurate and thorough project documentation and deliverables.

  • Captures, analyses, and refines client/end-user/market requirements and translates these into functional solution designs.

  • Additionally guides and validates technical implementations against established requirements and the agreed functional solution thus ensuring delivery of high quality solutions by DST in response to requests for enhancements to DST's suite of software products.

  • Establishes requirements and ensures upfront requirements quality (clear, well-scoped, prioritized and achievable).

  • Delivers high quality functional designs which satisfy established requirements.

  • Guides and validates technical designs and implementations against established requirements.

  • Ensures that changes to requirements are systematically subjected to the three preceding objectives.

  • Demonstrates the experience and ability to independently analyze and produce accurate and thorough project documentation and deliverables, including project benefits, feasibility, requirements, scope, risks, and justification.

  • Demonstrates a solid understanding of DST’s products, business processes, and development life cycle.

  • Demonstrates technical proficiency with various software tools, utilities, methodologies, and concepts.

  • Researches and collects material information required for analysis of moderately complex issues and assists in the facilitation of resolutions. For the most complex issues, seeks advice, assistance, and validation from a more experienced analyst or project lead.

  • Provides informal guidance to team members with less experience.

  • Contributes to department objectives and outcomes as guided.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information System, Information Technology, Finance, Business Administration, or other related fields.

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Business Analyst, System Analyst

  • Strong financial knowledge, good relevant to equity and derivatives trading business background, or experience in securities brokerage business.

  • Good knowledge of the Software Development Life cycle and the role of the Business Analyst e.g. requirement gathering, requirement analysis.

  • Experience in functional specification preparation, functional test case preparation, functional test execution, and user manual preparation on large and complex projects.

  • Excellent written communication skills and verbal communication skills

  • Good analytical skill with the ability to understand, analyze, and logically break-down the complex business requirements.

  • Good research and problem solving skills

  • Good negotiation and presentation skills

  • Able to manage client expectations effectively

  • Strong time management skills, and multi-tasking skills with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadline.

  • Able to work to tight deadlines, stick to commitments, and self-manage time with minimal supervision

  • Able to work with team or independently, self-motivated, and result-oriented

  • Experience in mentoring and guiding less experienced team members would be an advantage

  • Good command of spoken and written English.
