Organizational Overview

While working at DST Financial Services, you will help our clients discover opportunities in the complexities associated with mounting inflows of data, rapid technological advancements, shifting regulatory change, rising security risks and increasing demands from their customers. Your job is to help our clients discover opportunity through technology, strategic advisory and business improvement solutions. You will work with some of the world’s leading Alternative Asset Managers, Asset Management Service Companies, Banking Companies, Broker-Dealers, Distribution Companies, Insurance Companies and Retirement Companies. Everyday our global offices in Australia, the United Kingdom and the United States work together to master the complexity of the financial industry to transform the most challenging tasks into opportunity and competitive advantage.

Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Technical Writer/Editor who offers excellent research and writing skills along with broad knowledge of employee benefits, investments, financial and estate planning, and taxation in order to write and edit client communications for financial institutions and other customers in the defined contribution retirement plan and wealth management industries.

The Senior Writer and Editor will be a part of the topic idea generation process, submitting ideas for consideration and participating in collaborative meetings. You will conduct in depth research using printed and online resources to gather information and data, verify facts, and clarify information needed to execute assignments.


  • Utilize broad industry knowledge to assist in content/idea generation

  • Maintain notes and records for current and new projects, tracking all edits and changes

  • Update and maintain all content to remain consistent with changing regulations

  • Submit copy drafts to internal editors for review and approval

  • Meet established deadlines in line with business needs and client expectations

  • Collaborate with Graphic Services Team regarding photo selections, charts and other graphics, and video content development. Proofread typeset and html copy, presentations, and scripts and edit the content to fit established parameters

  • Assist in writing scripts for video content

  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members


  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in a related field; 4+ years of relevant experience

  • CFP® or similar designation preferred

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, emphasis on Excel

  • Ability to work with Internet-based applications and familiarity with online research services, such as RIA Checkpoint and CCH IntelliConnect

  • Familiarity with investment principles, personal taxation, and employee benefits (e.g., 401(k) plans)
