Lead Software Quality Analysts lead team members engaged in software testing and planning activities. They lead in the preparation and execution of test plans that thoroughly test software applications by anticipating potential issues and designing tests to uncover these issues. They establish departmental testing standards and methodologies that ensure a consistent high level of quality and ensure that these standards are being used consistently in the organization. Lead Software Quality Analysts maintain a high degree of knowledge regarding software testing and test methodologies for the organization. They assist other members of management in identifying, recommending, and implementing changes to enhance the effectiveness of quality processes and procedures. Lead Software Quality Analysts participate in and contribute to project reviews throughout the project life cycle. They may assist with best practices analysis and may also assist in measuring results of projects in regards to quality, cost, performance, and customer satisfaction. Lead Software Quality Analysts coordinate day-to-day activities including administration of work assignments, managing absences, and performance management.
