Organizational Overview

DST kasina helps leading companies in the financial services industry manage data, gain insight, and ignite change in their business. Through effective use of advanced analytics, research, and distribution intelligence technologies, DST kasina enables business to better understand, predict, and optimize key business factors impacting their asset growth and profitability.

Role Overview

The Investments Product Consultant is the lead of our product consulting practice, serving as a thought leader, project manager, and team member for consulting engagements and research projects. This individual manages analysts and consultants to produce thought leadership about asset management products and to guide clients to innovate their product strategies. In addition, this position will foster existing client relationships, as well as develop new clients. This individual is accountable for effectively conveying our offerings and solutions to high-level decision makers. Furthermore, they foster a culture of accountability within the company. They are expected to be “hands-on” with regards to all of his/her activities related to the success of the company. They demonstrate expertise in the knowledge of DST kasina products, services, and business practices as well as mentor and are sought out by less experienced associates within their group and across functional areas for their product and client knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Manage consulting engagements and build working relationships across the organization to enhance consulting opportunities for new and existing clients.

  • Provide clear and focused intellectual input to the development of both proposals and project deliverables.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with decision makers in asset management and related industries.

  • Thought leadership in working with internal teams regarding new and innovative ways to enhance services.

  • Effectively communicate company initiatives at industry conferences and roundtables.

  • Prepare and submit briefs and periodic reports that solve challenges in the industry.

  • Develop innovative strategies for asset management, insurance, and brokerage firms, particularly product strategies, but also including distribution, sales, National Accounts, and marketing strategies.

  • Provide thought leadership as it pertains to industry research concerning distribution, sales, National Accounts, and product trends.

  • Attend client meetings as needed

  • Contribute to business development initiatives with current and new clients.

  • Some travel required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or MBA is preferred.

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in asset management product strategy.

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience with a management consulting firm or some equivalent strategic consulting experience.

  • Strong client management skills and proven ability to develop client strategies.

  • Experience with data/analytics a plus.

  • Excellent communication skills, including ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing through presentations and individual discussions with all levels of the organization.

  • Must have high energy and strong creativity.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and articulate long-term and strategic vision.

  • Prior experience working the analytical creative approach to new ideas and problem solving.

  • This position can be located in either New York, New York or Boston, Massachusetts
