Job Description
The Director, PMO will provide leadership and direction through management of the PMO function and staff. This position has oversight for high-priority and/or strategic project initiatives and has ultimateaccountabilityfor identifying and mitigating risks that could have a substantial impact on the organization. Responsibilities include managing staff performance, department budget, cultivating and promoting leaders for the organization.
This position requires excellent organizational, analytical, problem solving, presentation, and communication skills, as well as leadership, decision making, facilitation and negotiation skills. Has oversight of all projects, including client implementations, core legacy system development, business development and strategic development. Provides oversight for development and management of consistent processes across Health Solutions.Responsible for development and management of the delivery assurance reviews, process improvement initiatives and deployment of methodology. This position is responsible for project management methodology, tools, processes and delivery assurance oversight, in addition to direct responsibility for roll-out and execution of tactical plans to support achievement of strategic business initiatives. Project prioritization & risk mitigation, internal as well as external client projects. Effective and proactive escalation and mitigation procedures and management of client expectations. Ability to build relationships and work in a matrix environment while being adaptable/flexible and maintaining big picture thinking is a must.
Required Skills Bachelor's degree with 12+ years leadership/management experience; project management experience includes leading multiple projects simultaneously; PMI or other professional project management training and/or certification.
