Job Description Associates joining DST IS in this role will be part of agile (scrum) teams focusing on iterative production-quality releases of system components. Testing will run in parallel with development, with an emphasis on automation. Associates must be team-oriented, with strong communication, initiative, and ownership qualities.
Software Quality Analysts develop, maintain, and execute a wide range of moderately complex quality tests with full competency to ensure software meets or exceeds specified standards and end-user requirements. They may perform detailed risk assessments and draft or revise moderately complex test plans and scripts. Software Quality Analysts assist in planning test strategies and methodologies. They may develop test data files with valid and invalid records to thoroughly test program logic and verify system flow. They may facilitate the review process of corporate/product standards and procedures. Software Quality Analysts may facilitate process improvement initiatives. They may define queries and procedures to gather high-level system metrics and gather and report system statistics, which includes researching and reporting explanations for major trend fluctuations/anomalies. Software Quality Analysts mentor less experienced staff and may coordinate activities on a project team and assist in monitoring project schedules and/or costs. Software Quality Analysts have moderate client exposure and company asset liability.
