Role Overview

The SalesConnect team is looking for a Principal Applications Analyst to join our team. This associate will work closely with our internal clients, external clients and internal development teams to clearly articulate the needs of varying applications and products utilized by our clients.


  • Experienced in Applications Analysis and repeatedly demonstrate the ability to independently analyze and produce accurate and thorough project documentation and deliverables, including project benefits, feasibility, requirements, scope, risks, and justification

  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of DST’s products, business processes, and development life cycle

  • Assigned complex projects and/or situations that have a high degree of customer exposure or company liability

  • Documenting and delivering various forms of project communications, and contributing to the development of training/support materials

  • Research and collect material information required for analysis and problem solving

  • Under the direction of a supervisor, may act in a team lead capacity for multiple projects

  • Team lead duties include project administration tasks such as tracking and/or assigning work to others, facilitating meetings, and producing and delivering project communications and reports

  • May be asked to estimate effort and/or resources required for specific project phases/tasks for which they are assigned to complete and/or lead

  • Mentor and are sought out by less experienced analysts for their product and application analysis knowledge

  • May require to mentor offshore Application Analysts, attend calls/meetings after work hours with offshore teams

  • Role is mostly application development but we do handle production issues at times and during these times look for this position to lead communication with clients (internal / external)

  • Develop great working relationships with product owners, business staff, and clients (internal and external)

  • Active in team conversations and ceremonies

  • Lead sprint grooming, planning, review/demo, and retrospectives

  • Other tasks as required


Required Skills

  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in Business Analysis

  • Experience working with Agile Methodology

  • Experience in writing and executing database queries

  • Self-motivated and pro-active

  • Advanced communication skills (both verbal and written)

  • Experience working with multiple technologies (Mainframe & open systems)

Good to Have Skills

  • Experience with Finance Domain

  • Experience working on Salesforce

  • Experience working with offshore teams

  • Experience working with multiple teams simultaneously
