Job Description To verify and ensure the operational status of all network hardware, software, components, and appliances, Staff Network Engineers interpret the output from various network utilities and commands, analyze situations of diverse scope, and provide resolution for moderately complex network problems. Staff Network Engineers gather and analyze network-related requirements and develop high-level and complimentary detailed technical design documentation that supports an overall business solution for the client. This includes performing traffic engineering, technical evaluations, equipment assessments, etc. They participate and provide input into peer technical design reviews while demonstrating knowledge of the company's infrastructure, switching technologies, the purpose and operation of various routing protocol models and switching methodologies, and the impact of various applications on a network. Staff Network Engineers perform research on present and future technologies, conduct vendor comparisons, and assist with cost studies. They produce client proposals and various other forms of client communication that are typically less complex and/or contain common technical template components.
Required Skills Cisco OS fluency, Demonstrate an understanding of Network Theory, Routing, Switching, associated protocols, network services (DHCP, DNS, etc) and functionality. Load Balancer, Firewall, network mgmt tools and packet analysis skills.
Desired Skills Nexus Switch, Proteus, ASA Firewall and F5 experience.
