Role Overview

(Please note this role is based in our Basildon office in Essex with occasional work from our London and Surbiton offices)

This role gathers and synthesizes content from company-wide SMEs into external and internal capabilities messages, presentations, value propositions and insights. The candidate will deliver some components of the messages through internal training sessions.

This position will help develop, implement and maintain Sales Enablement (SE) Education and Insight programs for the EMEA region. The SE Specialist will work closely with the UK-based business Vertical and Product Marketing teams and the SE leads in the US to ensure consistency with the overall SE approach and its applicability to the European businesses.

Responsibilities target key audiences across the Financial Services industry as well as opportunities that may arise in other industries not currently targeted.

The SE Education and Insights Specialist is a member of the Marketing and Sales Enablement Group within DST. This position reports to Head of Sales Enablement and Thought Leadership / Commercial Insight in the US with “dotted line” responsibilities to the Senior Manager in the UK. The role has high day-to-day interaction with the local Business Vertical and Product Marketing teams, the US Sales Enablement team and internal “clients” within Financial Services.

The position requires a minimum of 5 – 7 years’ experience with Marketing and Communications messaging/content development (other than copywriting) as well as familiarity with Financial Services. This candidate should be exceptionally organized, collaborative, and flexible and have strong communication skills.

The role will cover two primary areas:

Messaging: This component will require the individual to gather and synthesize content from company-wide SMEs and package it into external and internal capabilities messages. External content will be targeted to prospects, clients and media or consultants (as needed or defined by DST PR and DST AR). Internal content will assist sales and relationship management in defining and delivering DST value propositions and product capabilities. As needed, messaging will incorporate thoughts and market perspectives from DST PR, business marketing and other SE team members, as well as from SMEs and through research. The goal is to help link corporate themes, industry considerations and product-based capabilities into cohesive, insightful deliverables. Content may either leverage messages/presentations from the US program (adapted for the European audience) or be new content/ messages.

Messaging focuses on an “outside/in” approach that creates unique DST positioning presentations and capabilities. The individual works closely with a design team to build out visuals for presentations. Final approval and oversight will come from the US-based team.

Training Facilitation: The individual will identify, develop and manage an internal training program. Program management includes identifying topics, maintaining a calendar, and managing the overall process including conducting classes. Process management steps include booking room and setting up webinar and recording, following a development calendar that includes content deadlines and practice sessions, creating post-class surveys, managing surveys and responses, posting information to Green Room.


  • Continually refine and package DST capabilities into cohesive, “outside/in” messages and presentations that support client / prospect / industry challenges, needs, and trends

  • In conjunction with business level marketing and SMEs, and using DST corporate and sector themes and trends, develop cohesive value propositions and insights

  • Work with vertical and product marketing to package information into presentations, videos, blogs, papers and other forms of media

  • Plan, facilitate and lead educational sessions for subjects and products

  • Conduct research needed to ensure DST is aligned with specific industry needs, themes, trends, considerations and utilize research in message creation

  • With input from DST PR, develop and maintain a company-wide list of SMEs and work with SMEs to define relevant and timely subjects to share with clients and prospects

  • Develop and maintain a calendar of content and Education & Insights activities and manage the creation process.

  • Collaborate with other SE teams and support their deliverables and objectives
