Role Overview

QA Supervisors are responsible for the day-to-day supervision and guidance of associates engaged in processing work items and maintaining production reports. They are expected to have a very thorough understanding of healthcare operations and the organization’s structure regarding information gathering or issue resolution. QA Supervisors accept, record, process, and troubleshoot requests from clients and staff of the most complex in nature. They may be responsible for special projects.

Responsibilities

  • Monitoring staff quality and ensure operational standards, policies, and procedures are followedMonitoring the QA inventory

  • Ensuring SLA and quality reporting is completed in a timely manner

  • Working with the claims team on outstanding errors

  • Client deliverables such as developing reporting and queries for a focused audit and participating in client calls

  • Responsible for providing input to the hiring and disciplinary processes as well as for administering performance appraisals for staff associates

Qualifications

Minimal:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • 3+ years healthcare claims industry experience, including some leadership/management responsibilities

  • Must be proficient with personal computers

  • Ability to multi-task

  • Familiarity with Claims Processing platforms such as Amisys, PowerStepp, Exeter, and MHC

Optimal:

  • Post-secondary education in a discipline such as Business or Education

  • 5+ experience in the healthcare claims processing industry, including some leadership/management responsibilities or training responsibilities

  • Familiarity with BI reports and pivot tables

  • Proficient in Excel and Access

  • Experience with the Enrollment Process to include commercial and Medicare Advantage Business
