Job Description Project Planning Managers manage staff and are ultimately accountable for the work of other Project Planners. They oversee multiple (and potentially cross-functional) projects within a department, business unit, or product group and have responsibility for coordinating projects of the most complex nature. They oversee high-level project planning, prioritizing, and scheduling. They ensure all milestones are achieved within identified and documented time, budget, and performance expectations for multiple projects. Project Planning Managers monitor projects from initiation through delivery and offer project planning mentorship and expertise. They monitor and report the status of all major projects to executive staff, project sponsors, and stakeholders. Project Planning Managers assist with strategic planning and development while ensuring compliance with standards and procedures for the organization.
